Welcome to the historic Ratskeller in Cochem
The historic Ratskeller in the old town of Cochem along the Moselle river in Germany is set in the beautiful baroque style town hall built in 1739. Today it is a very nice old style restaurant and pub with typical German meals and very good wines and beers from the area. The market place with its "Martin's Fountain" is surrounded by old gabled houses built on steep streets. Cochem - with its huge and lofty castle and even larger market area of flowers and fountains - was founded in 1332, the town hall was finished in 1620, the whole place was sacked and burned by the French in 1689... and today it couldn't look any more peaceful or prettier.
